Press Release: MAN Intensifies Staff Training

The Ag. Rector of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Dr.  (Engr) Anthony A. Ishiodu has said his administration has intensified its efforts towards ensuring quality work productivity among Staff of the institution, especially as the International Maritime States Audit Scheme (IMSAS) is drawing near.

The Academy’s helmsman who made this indication known during the 3-days intensive workshop held for the Staff of Bursary and Audit Departments of the Academy commended the Heads of Bursary and Audit Departments, Mr. F. A. Kayode and Mr. Sunday Okwong-udo for their passion in promoting excellence among their Staff.

The CEO further noted that his Management would provide the participants with laptops and other necessary items which according to him would help enhance work performance and also help them to be goal-oriented.

He charged participants to imbibe all aspects of the information that would be made available to them during the course of the workshop and ensure strict compliance and application where necessary.

Also speaking the Academy’s Bursar, Mr. F. A. Kayode thanked participants and urged them to bring to fore their best during the training while imbibing the critical aspects of the training.

Mr. Kayode opined that the workshop which is centred on Treasury Single Account (TSA) and Government Integrated Financial Management Information Systems ( GIFMIS) is targeted towards broadening the Staff’s knowledge on the workings of the platforms.

Also present to take Staff on the practical aspects of the training were Mr. Sesan Oye and colleague, Mr. Adekola Adegoke of Integrated Personel Payroll System (IPPIS), Abuja.
