School of Marine Engineering

Maritime Engineering is a special branch of engineering interested in the main transfer unit and auxiliary units that are mounted on the vessels and shore activities.

In this School courses focusing on the main subjects related to vessels engineering as well as electrical engineering control engineering, vessel construction (Boat/ship building) engineering and other relevant subjects needed to carry out maritime tasks are taught.
The School of Maritime Engineering provides knowledge and skills to Cadets/Students on the fundamentals of the operation of the ship’s main engine, adjuncts and auxiliary machinery and the safe operation and maintenance of the ship’s electrical and refrigeration machines.

It seeks to serve the global maritime community as a centre of excellence for maritime education and research, the school promotes the highest practicable standards in maritime transportation, policy and administration, management, safety, security and environmental protection. It provides a mechanism for International exchange and transfer of knowledge and its applications.

VISION STATEMENT
To be a centre of excellence for the training of marine engineers of international standard.

MISSION STATEMENT
